Planet Egalia – Ein feministisches Singspiel

Feministisches Singspiel/ Musical

At present, dystopias are more popular than utopias. The situation was quite different in the 1970s, when, at the height of feminist utopia, authors created new models of society on distant planets and in possible terrestrial futures. In Norway, Gerd Brantenberg simply reversed gender relations in her novel „The Daughters of Egalia,“ and in the U.S., the triumvirate of feminist science fiction Ursula K. Le Guin, Joanna Russ, and Marge Piercy abolished not only gender differences but also class society and private property in their works.

The special beauty of this production was the intense and warmhearted production process of ca. 80 pieces in 2,5 month.
